Welcome to the Students of Higher Educational Counseling (SHiEC) website!

We are a graduate student organization within the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California (USC), bringing together students who are passionate about higher education, student support, and building meaningful community.

​

The 2026-2027 academic year marks an exciting new chapter for SHiEC. For the first time, our Executive Board includes students from both in-person and online modalities, including members from the inaugural online cohort. We are honored to be part of this milestone year and excited to continue growing our community across both modalities.

​

This year, we hope to create meaningful opportunities for professional development, social connection, and community building. We look forward to welcoming our newest online cohorts, strengthening our in-person community, and creating a SHiEC experience where every student feels connected and supported, no matter how they participate in the program.

Together, we hope to build on the community we have inherited while creating new traditions, opportunities, and memories for those who come after us. While our experiences and modalities may look different, we are one SHiEC.

We are so excited for what this year has in store and can’t wait to learn, grow, and celebrate together.
